I have been in early childhood education for over 12 years and have worked as an Assistant Teacher and a Lead Teacher. I hold my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development and my Site Supervisor permit.

I am passionate about working with young children during some of the most important years of their development. My work experience includes working with special needs children. I feel comfortable and confident in meeting children where they are developmentally and helping them grow into the next stage in their development.

My philosophy is that children learn best through play and peer interactions. I believe they grow immensely when they are in an environment that is loving, fun and inspirational.

Outside of work my greatest joy is being with my two children. Both of my boys are full of energy and curiosity. Watching them grow and learn brings me so much joy and excitement for the future.

Special Education

Lead Teacher

Veronica Lee

A woman with glasses and long brown hair smiles at the camera against a teal background.

My background in education comes from working as a resource teacher for elementary school students. I made a move to preschool because I hope to make an impact on children's education from their earliest years. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, and I hold a teaching credential for multi-subject elementary and special education. I have also obtained an added authorization for early childhood special education.

My teaching philosophy is based around creating an inclusive classroom environment, incorporating routine-based interventions, and embracing student-led discovery. Building trusting relationships with my students and their families allows my students to feel safe, supported, and confident in the classroom. These relationships help to create an inclusive classroom where all children feel welcome and represented. Using routine-based interventions allows for students to learn the functional skills and independence needed to perform their daily routines. By using our built-in routines throughout the school day, students are naturally inclined to learn the skills necessary for kindergarten and beyond.

Personally, some of my interests include gardening, going out to eat with friends, and visiting museums or historical sites. But my most important role is being a mother to my three kids. Together, we enjoy going on road trips, camping, and playing Uno or other card games. My passion for teaching and children was discovered once I became a mother myself. Having the chance to influence the lives of other children is an honor that I feel lucky to call my profession!
